About the company
Boccia NI was established in 2005 and is made up of voluntary committee members dedicated to the promotion and development of Boccia throughout Northern Ireland. Boccia is a competitive sport, almost like bowls, which is played from a seated position and is therefore ideal for those with movement or sensory impairment. Boccia NI trains leaders to facilitate Boccia sessions in a variety of settings, eg Care homes, Folds, Schools etc.
Project brief
With the target audience always in mind, the importance of designing an informative and easy to use site was fundamental. As a registered charity, keeping cost to a minimum was also crucial. The purpose of the site was two-fold: to promote Boccia NI as a training centre for leaders, and also to inform potential participants of the many benefits of playing the game.
Solution
Obtaining clear and specific information from the client resulted in the creation of a 4 page, easy to use website. Minimising graphic design costs helped to fulfil the design brief at an agreed cost. The facility to include photographs has been incorporated and the client has been trained to manage the content effectively. The client is delighted with the increase in inquiries.
